Philip Kupferschmidt is a ceramic artist based out of Chino, California. He has maintained a studio practice since 2020 after receiving his MFA in ceramics and BFA in creative photography from California State University, Fullerton.  

Most of his work is formed by hand on the potter’s wheel, and while following a general series of themes, no two pieces are identical. He gathers inspiration from nature and natural phenomena and joins it with an interest in challenging traditional notions of functional ceramics through design, color, and experimentation and glaze exploration.

When not in the studio, Philip enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons and three cats.
